“The purpose of life is to live it, to taste experience to the utmost, to reach out eagerly and without fear for newer and richer experience.”Eleanore Roosevelt
Where The Legacy Began
Our grandfather Jay Elmer Steed was the hardest working man we’ve ever known. Grandpa Jay worked in various fields of printing for over 60 years and his company, Jay’s Litho, was well known and loved in the Community of Wenatchee Washington. During the final 20 years of his life he did all his printing in a shop he built in his back yard so he could continue working every day. He printed his last order only a few months before his death in May 2013 at the age of 92. In our family there is an expectation for hard work and thanks to our grandpa, we know what hard work is. We love our grandpa Jay and want to honor him and continue his printing legacy by naming our company after Jay’s Litho, but instead of paper we use Hammocks. He made his mark on this world through printing and now we continue his legacy.
We are passionate about travel, adventure, and the outdoors which inspired us to create Litho Hammocks. Life is too short to not spend it doing what we love.
